President

Sandra Boldt

Sandra was born and adopted in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Growing up she lived in Michigan, Pennsylvania, and Ohio, and back to Michigan until moving to Knox, Indiana during her sophomore year in high school. Her son is an Army veteran. She has a nephew currently serving in the Navy, and her uncle is retired Air Force. She joined the St. Joe Michigan chapter of BSM until they had enough to charter this chapter. She has 4 cats and 8 grandchildren (with #9 on the way)! She is very passionate about the organization and hopes her passion is contagious!

Financial Secretary

Tara Hudson

Tara Hudson, an Elkhart native, is the Financial Secretary of St. Joe Valley Blue Star Moms #6. Her oldest son is serving in the US Army, and her youngest son is in the US Air Force. Her two daughters still live at home. She enjoys spending time with her husband of 16 years, Ryan, 2 cats, exercising, and enjoying the outdoors. The best part of being involved with BSM is “the smiles of our soldiers and veterans when we are able to provide them with care packages or items they are in need of.”

Recording Secretary / Historian

Tammy Britt

Tammy is from Bremen, Indiana and currently resides in South Bend. She is married to her husband Norman “Larry” for 33 years and they have 4 grandchildren, 2 daughters-in-law, and 1 son-in-law. Her youngest made her a Blue Star Mother.  He served in the US Navy aboard the USS Nimitz from 2004-2008, deploying on two 6-month tours and  one 4-month tour. Larry served in the US Navy from 1968 to 1972 aboard the USS Ticonderoga. She is retired but loves to get out and hike as well as take requests from the grandkids for crochet projects. She enjoys helping with concessions at ND football games as well as other BSM events.

Vice President

Grace Stephens

Grace Stephens is a dedicated member of the BSM community since the fall of 2018, bringing a rich legacy of military service to her involvement. Raised in a family with a deep commitment to national service, Grace’s father served as a WWII veteran in the Army, while her sister and brother each dedicated themselves to service in the Navy and Air Force, respectively. Her own journey of support continued with her husband, who served both in the Air Force and the Army Reserves.

Grace’s commitment to the armed forces extends to her two sons, both of whom enlisted in the Air Force. Her son, Brandon Stephens, is currently serving as a crew chief on F-22s at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson in Anchorage, Alaska. Grace’s proud support for her family’s military endeavors is a testament to her enduring dedication to service and community.

Laura Undem

Originally from Pennsylvania. She joined the Navy right after high school “to find a husband.” The Lord brought her Tim, Navy submariner and have been blessed with 42 years (and counting). They currently live in Hamlet, Indiana. They have 3 sons, and two are veterans (Air Force and Marines). Her father-in-law is an Air Force vet, and her brother served in the Navy. She joined BSM in 2010 and has served as the chaplain as well. Her specialty as primary baker for bake sales is Pork and Beans cake. She enjoys being the top hot dog chef at ND concessions stands and attends county stand-downs to hand out gifts to the veterans, as well as portraying Santa and Mrs. Claus during the holidays. They have 3 dogs and 8 grandchildren.

Marlon Deleon

Marlon (he/they) is a lot of things, and among them he is a papa, disabled Navy submarine veteran, aspiring writer, recovering alcoholic, and someone who strives to love all neighbors. Originally from California, his foray into the performing arts initially began in orchestra (violin), but he eventually earned his B.A. in Theatre Arts (Directing) from California State University, Long Beach. he served in the US Navy as a Nuclear Submarine Electrician’s Mate. He loves all things storytelling, whether it’s happening on stage, in a blog, through video and pictures, or even in the form of a novel. He currently resides in Osceola.
